Clinical Supervision Services

Clinical supervision is an area of passion, expertise, and interest for Dr. Angela Harrington. Having come from a 10-year career in University Counseling Centers, she has supervised trainees, interns, and residents from several academic areas, including psychology, counseling, social work, and health information management, amongst others; and has supervised Counselors, Social Workers, and Psychologists in the pre-licensure phase. 


Dr. Harrington's approach to clinical supervision is developmental in nature and utilizes a scaffolded structure. In other words, she will meet you where you are in your professional journey and work collaboratively to help you get closer to your individual career goals.

Approaches & Interventions

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Structured approach to identify thinking patterns that may create issues, as well as looking at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Helps people with significant emotional regulation problems change patterns of behavior, emotion, thought, and interpersonal interaction associated with problems in their daily lives. 

Psychodynamic Therapy

Therapeutic approach rooted in the understanding that unconscious thoughts, desires, and memories significantly impact personality, relationships, and behavior.


Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)/Trauma-Informed Therapy

A specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that has been effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that have developed after experiencing a variety of traumatic events including child abuse, combat, rape and natural disasters. 

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)

Psychotherapy focused on improving interpersonal relationships to alleviate symptoms of mental health conditions, particularly depression. 

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

 A mindfulness-based therapeutic approach that emphasizes accepting thoughts and feelings while committing to values-driven actions to enhance psychological flexibility and well-being.
